Just received the unit and was eager to try it out. Bought it to use with my vw tdi. I brought the engine temp up to about 100 deg before inserting the extraction tube. Three pumps on the handle and the oil was already flowing, i maybe pumped it ten times then went on to remove my filter. I could hear the oil coming out and when it slowed i simply reached over and pumped another 6 -8 times. In total i maybe pumped the thing 25 times. Within 5 minutes it was sucking air, my filter was already installed and i was pouring in the new oil. How can a person go wrong? i've always gone slightly over the recommended oil change intervals as i'd wait till i hit the mark then scheduled an appointment. This was so simple that i'm actually looking forward to doing my next service sooner then the manufacture recommends. Disposal of the oil was not a problem as a local garage accepts it, i drove there walked in and poured it out of the mityvac. The build quality seams super rugged and well designed. I highly recommend this unit. Mityvac 7400 7.3 liter fluid evacuator Review (7400)

Hmm. Nothing difficult in the procedure of using this product. I got the product in 2 days after i ordered(of course 2 day shipping). . I got it out, hook them up and got the oil out after warming up the car for a bit. One thing i notice is that the rubber that connects the dipstick tube to the main tube is loose once the warm oil softens the rubber. So, there is a tiny leak of seal. However, even with the tiny leak, all the oil is out of engine within 10 minutes or so. . At first, i quite could not get the oil out. Because the dipstick tube did not reach the oil. But, i was able to manage to push it down deeper and rest is the magic. So, maybe i can measure the length of car's dipstick, and then, i can manage to put the stick in right depth ( i guess i gotta go deeper than dipstick, i mean. ). . I feel that they could make the tubes in coiling format, so it would not be as hard to maneuver and to store. Please, improve the connection of tubes! these would be my wishes. . Overall, it was good. My drain plug is broken, so it is helpful to use this instead of replacing the bottom of oil pan. . Thank you for making this product. -S. Stacey

I think there are a lot of complaints here about the tube is not long enough. Maybe they are right. But for me, it fits perfectly with my acura tsx. I use this pump to pump transmission oil that has draining bolt at odd location. Even with the lift, i had to drop two bolts that hold the plastic cover underneath the car. Even so, i had about a foot room and the draining bolt was about three feet inside. Saying that, i didn't have much room to work with, and when the oil was out, it spread to everywhere. Besides, when i put the two bolts back in, they were stuck so i had to tie the plastic up with tie rap. I don't mind working under the car, it's just didn't make sense. With this pump, i have no problem pumping the transmission oil out in about 15 minutes. I re-fill with about 3 quarts of oil and take the pump to dump station and dump it right at the station. I also pump the power steering oil and brake oil out and replace with new oil which i didn't plan to do for many years. There is no way to flush the transmission oil out anyway, so even with draining oil, the steps are still the same, which is fill and try every 3 quarts until the oil is clean (redness) (normally after 3 times). While i like the idea to use this for engine oil change, i rather use the draining bolt and only use this for transmission oil to avoid the inconvenience. Overall, it meets my expectation.

I highly recommend going with the one with a reversible valve so you can empty the container much easier. I've been using it for al most a year now, about four oil changes and have not seen any excess wear on any of the items. The plastic tube is holding up. Some have suggested placing in a tube to it flat/straight, i have not done and it has been okay, but it is still a good idea. Spend the extra couple of bucks and get the reversible valve so you can pump the fluid you extracted into the mighty vac out into another container for disposal creating less mess."

UView 550000 Airlift Cooling System Leak Checker Airlock Purge Tool Kit

I purchased the unit for use in replacing the engine and fuel coolant on a 2009 ford f350, 6. 4l. . The unit fit both reservoir caps easily. It feels heavy duty, and i did not experience any leaks or issues during use. The gauge has a sticker that says fragile, so i kept the foam wrap that came with it to help store it safely in the carrying case. All i had to buy was a 1/4" nipple to hook up my air compressor. I have a 2. 6 cfm 90 psi small air compressor with a 2 gal tank, and it was able to draw a vacuum on the truck without any issues.

Uview airlift system purges problematic airlocks, checks for vacuum leaks and then allows the technician to refill the system quickly and easily.

Uview 550000 Airlift Cooling System Leak Checker Airlock Purge Tool Kit (Auto Accessory) FAQ.

The best one made. Yes the gauge is a little cheap but they all are. Main body constructed of brass instead of plastic like the rest. Plus it doesn't have just the cone like the others. So can be used a lot more easily on most cooling systems. If you are an automotive tech. This is the one you want. -Notice from F. Alma, Southwark

If you are looking at this then buy it. I just got mine yesterday and i have never refilled a cooling system so fast, easy and cleanly. I was a professional mechanic until 2004, now i just work on mine and my friends cars. No air bubble, no dinking around trying to raise the front of the car or trying to bleed the system. It literally took 2 minutes to refill a 3. 0l ford after doing lower hoses and i had no problems with the dreaded trapped air pocket.

- E. WaytNot sure how i went so long with out this tool? ! now that i have it i don't know that i could go back to doing coolant flushes without! works well, simple to use, takes the headaches and frustrations out of bleeding cooling systems. A little bit pricey but its the price you pay for quality tools! its also nice to know if theres any cooling system leaks before refilling. And this will pretty easily let you know if a leak is present under normal conditions/pressures!

This is basically a required specialty tool if you're working on the cooling system of a modern car. Ford/chevy/chrysler/nissan all have the degas bottle that makes properly bleeding air out of the cooling system into a long-term chore, but with this tool you can fill the system the first time without introducing air. Typically i can have a system filled and bled in 5 minutes or less. This is also handy for a clean way of checking for leaks in your cooling system. It is a must to pair this with a pressure tester though since you'll need the adapters for the degas bottle to get a good seal.

Mann-Filter HU 816/2 X Metal-Free Oil Filter

Great filter at a very reasonable price as opposed to the more costly bmw filter. I have been changing my oil on my mini since i got it and have always used the mann filters without any fit or perfromance issues. I always pre-fit the engine side of the filter onto the spindle, remove it and then make sure it is fully seated into the metal housing. This makes spinning the housing onto the engine much easier.

Mann-filter elements are metal-free. They are made of one material and do not create ash when disposed of in a thermal process. Original equipment number 11 42 7 512 446.

Mann-filter Hu 816/2 X Metal-free Oil Filter (Mann Filter) FAQ.

When i performed my first oil change on my 2006 mini cooper s, i went to walmart like usual and they did not even have my filter in the book. That was scary because i knew already that parts for the car were hard to find and expensive, so i was thinking what had i gotten myself into. So i went to my part store. They had to order it so i could not change the oil today and it was twenty five dollars. For a paper oil filter. I did not think that i had a choice, so i ordered it and it would be at the store the next day. That night, i was thinking about how ridiculous it is, then i decided to look on trust online store. Sure enough, this one popped up for 1/3 of what the part store was charging. So yeah, $8 for a paper filter is still a little high, but way better than it was. When i went to pick up my other filter i told them what i had found and they were thinking that same thing, so he refunded my money and i ordered the mann-filter from online store. I am now about to install my 4th mann-filter and everything is working great! i tell every mini owner i know to order this instead of wasting their money. . On a final note. If you are new to you mini, you will need a shallow 36mm socket to take the oil filter cannister off:. Https://www. Online store. - N. LewisJust what my mini ordered.

Fits my kid's mini as one would expect with a good mann filter. However, be aware that you will not get a drain plug gasket in this, as you are apparently supposed to replace the drain plug as part of the oil change. I've never encountered that on a car before, but apparently the gasket is integral to the plug, so you might want to order a few along with these filters.

Mityvac 7201 Fluid Evacuator Plus

Designer and manufacturer of this system has won my respect completely. I watched few youtube videos and decided to give it a try. I was nervous never did any thing with transmission fluids in my life but i own multi vehicles and quote to drain refill transmission was very expensive. The day i received it i tried immediately on two cars in two different conditions. First one 2004 lexus es330, i had driven this car already for about 30 minutes and as soon as i reached home, turned car off and started extraction. In less then even 5 minutes nearly 3. 5l atf was extracted. Wow super super fast extraction and in next few minutes i refilled equivalent amount, shifted car through all gears while in garage parking and then drove it. Gears were shifting perfect and then i started on next car 2000 lexus gs300 that was cold standing in garage and not used that day. I turned car on for about 5 minutes and then assumed it is enough hot. Turned car off and started extraction, about 2l atf came out. I replaced equivalent and all good. My conclusion is that it is better to use car about 30 minutes on road and then start extracting atf using this system. I am highly impressed. Very well built and works like a dream.

Mityvac fluid evacuator requires no power to create a vacuum and pressure to evacuate and disperse most automotive liquids and chemicals. Features an external pump design for easy access. The large capacity, 8. 8 liter fluid reservoir has automatic flow control, preventing overfilling. It also has a pressure relief valve for safety.

Mityvac 7201 Fluid Evacuator Plus (Auto Accessory) FAQ.

I've had this sitting in my garage for a few months, waiting for that opportune time to do my first oil change on my 2016 golf r. It really couldn't have been simpler. Please note, this is the first time i have ever changed oil on any car! . . To extract oil:. . 1. ) pop hood, after getting oil temperature up to about 130f. 2. ) remove oil dipstick. 3. ) connect fat hose to mityvac 7201, and then the thin hose to that fat hose - and then the other end of that thin hose into the dipstick hole and down to the bottom (wait for it to bottom out). 4. ) make sure the mityvac is set to "evacuate" on the little push up/down button. 5. ) pump about 10 times. 6. ) go get a cup of coffee! . 7. ) come back in about 15 minutes or so. . Done! this really couldn't have been simpler. You'll know when it's done extracting when it gurgles air, or you can see the level is not rising on the mityvac container. . After pouring my new oil into the car from the new-oil 1-quart containers, i then proceeded to dispense the old oil into those very same containers to take them to a garage for disposal. This is also easy:. . To dispense old oil:. . 1. ) switch the button on the mityvac to "dispense. ". 2. ) put the end of the hose into one of your used oil containers. 3. ) pump the mityvac around 10 times. 4. ) if you're using smaller oil containers (i used 1 quart containers), you'll need to stop the flow to switch container, of course. You do this by pulling on the little vacuum release black "thing" on the top of the lid. You'll hear the air release as you keep holding that black thing up, which stops the flow! if the hose is still dripping a little, you can always switch the mityvac to "evacuate" and pump a few times to ensure no leakage out the hose as you switch container. ). . For the golf r, the filter is also on top of the engine, right next to the dipstick. You just need a new filter and o-ring (comes with the oem filter) and a 32mm 6-point socket wrench to remove. Will just take you just a couple of minutes for this part! . . Overall, this has been the perfect addition to my garage, and again - bear in mind this is my first ever oil change. Yay! . . 5 stars out of 5. A great product. -Notice from X. Harrison, Medway

This pump makes changing oil a lot easier - no need to fumble with an oil pan bolt (which you'll usually end up dropping into the pan of oil. Good luck finding it). It seems well built and i haven't had any issues with it leaking - supposedly, there have been some minor design changes over the years so that the newer ones don't have some of the issues that others here have mentioned. . I found that i ended up having to use the smallest diameter plastic dipstick tube to fit the dipstick of my 2007 and 2011 mazda 3s, but it did fit and seemed to suck the oil out reasonably fast when used properly. Pro tip: make sure that you insert the tube all the way until you hit the oil pan, and then pull the tube back out a tiny bit so there's some space between the tip of the tube and the bottom of the pan.

Mityvac-7201-fluid-evacuator-plus-(auto-accessory) set picture

- P. EmmaI really enjoy the mityvac 7201 fluid evacuator plus. I can't say that it makes changing the oil much quicker than using the drain plug or even that much neater but it certainly does make it easier. . If you have a car with the oil filter located where you can access it without getting under the car, i would recommend the evacuator without hesitation. If you have to get under the car or truck to change the filter you might as well just drain the oil with the plug. . I bought the evacuator about a year ago specifically for use on my 2007 mercedes e320 diesel which has the drain plug in a very awkward location. Since then i've used it about a dozen times on both the diesel and my 2002 e46 bmw 330i. I have never had a problem with the performance and my only complaint is that it does not have enough capacity for the mercedes. This car holds 9 quarts of oil and i have to stop halfway through the evacuation and empty the reservoir. Once the evacuator has been filled, the film of dark oil clinging to the walls prevents seeing the oil level under any lighting conditions. So, i always evacuate about 3 quarts, empty the evacuator, and then evacuate the remainder. This is not a problem with the bmw since the evacuator can empty this car in one step. . Before i purchased the evacuator i read some reviews that warned that their evacuator did not come with a gasket between the lid and the side walls. I took mine apart on arrival and it did not have a gasket either. However, the plastic parts fit tightly together and make an air tight seal. It is my theory that some of the people that could not get their evacuators to empty their crankcases have a problem with the length of the suction tube inside the evacuator. For the evacuator to work in pump mode, versus vacuum mode, there is a tube that extends to the bottom of the evacuator, much like drinking a milkshake through a straw, that allows you to pump out the evacuator contents. In my evacuator the tube has very little clearance with the bottom of the unit. I believe in some units the internal tube may actually touch the bottom of the evacuator and prevent or limit the vacuum pulled in the tank from drawing the oil through the suction tube. If you should order an evacuator and then find that it does not work (i suggest testing it in the sink first using water) you should try taking it apart and checking the internal tube length. There of course are many other reasons the units may not work but i thought this tip was worth passing along. . Many other reviewers have commented on this as well but i also wanted mention that the unit works much better when the oil is warm. However, i changed my oil once on a 40 day when the oil was at ambient conditions and with a little patience i was able to suck every last drop out. So, it can be done but i would not recommend it. . I also wanted to give a couple of tips on tubing. In my cars, the largest tube which will go down the dipsticks is ¼". I buy it in bulk at my local ace hardware for $0. 12 a foot. I only use the ¼" tube one time, discarding it after each use in order to prevent the introduction of dirt into the engine internals and also to avoid the mess of storing an oily piece of tubing. I feed the ¼" tube from the spool it is supplied on into the dipstick until it touches the bottom of the oil pan. I then cut the tubing off the roll, leaving about 6" of tube sticking out of the dipstick tube. I have shortened the length of the factory large diameter tube that is directly connected to the evacuator so that it reaches just from the evacuator when it is sitting within 1' of the fender to the dipstick. The 2 different size pieces of tube are then connected with the included rubber adapter. This gives me the shortest possible run of tubing with the largest diameter tubing possible for each section of the run. I have had very good success with this setup. . I do not clean my evacuator after each use but i also don't leave oil in. I immediately switch it into pump mode and pump the oil, using only the large diameter tube, into a container to transport the oil for recycling. Once the evacuator is emptied i will stretch out the large diameter tube to a rag on the ground and allow the oil in the tube to gravity flow out over night. The tube can then be wrapped around the evacuator and it will snap into clips on the side of the unit. I don't like to use the drain plug on the top of the evacuator to empty it. The plug is difficult to get out even when lubed with oil and is it is difficult to pour the oil into other containers. . The evacuator should allow you to change the oil with the minimum of mess possible. However no matter how careful i am, i always seem to drip or spray 1 or 2 drops of oil onto myself or the floor. This can be an improvement over the drain plug and pan method though. For example on my explorer you must carefully control the flow from the drain plug or it comes out with such force that it splashes or sprays the under car components. With the evacuator you also don't have to worry about sloshing oil out of an open pan, oil splashing on the top of one of the closed-top funnel-type pans, or spilling when you transfer oil from a pan into another container. . For those car enthusiasts who have a true passion for their cars and this type work, i would recommend having your oil tested periodically by a lab. I recommend blackstone-labs. Their testing service is very affordable and they can help you determine the true required interval between oil changes for your driving habits and vehicle. . For hard to find oils like the mobil 1 type m esp used in all new diesel mercedes, i would recommend mail ordering your oil from avlube. This oil is available through the dealership and at pep boys but i have found it to be less expensive and more convenient to mail order the oil in bulk. . Properly set up, i have found the evacuator to be an indispensible tool for service on my german cars.

This is actually a very nice product - when you use it correctly. In order to save people's time, here are a few tips. . On the top of the canister is a plug. Make sure the plug is locked down before using. For the longest time, after repeated pumping, i wasn't getting any oil sucked into the canister. I removed the top to make sure there was a sealing ring (there was). I reassembled, and still was having difficulty sucking oil. After another 5 minutes it dawned on me. Check the plug. Bingo! that did the trick. . The other trick. When sucking oil from your car, it's good to run the car for a little bit to warm up the oil. When i first put the tube into the dipstick tube, it was a little difficult to "feel" where the bottom of the oil pan was. When extracting oil at first, i was getting a slow flow of oil. I eventually started "futzing" with the tube, and finally pulled it out far enough such that it must of un-kinked because all of a sudden. "whoosh" there came the oil. . Last tip - buy your oil by the 5qt container - for one, it's far cheaper (especially if you go the synthetic route) than individual quart bottles. My vehicle takes nearly 5 qts, and the bottle makes a perfect storage container for the old oil. Just flip the switch on the mitty vac, start pumping, and "easy peasy", no mess disposal of oil in a handy container. . Aside from user error, the product is fantastic, well built, and the ability to both extract and pump contents out is well worth the twenty dollars you would pay for the lower model mittyvacs. The fact that the pump components is outside the canister is another bonus (added longevity).

The F.A.Q. for mityvac 7400 7.3 liter fluid evacuator

Works great. Hoped it had a shut off valve. So you could pump it then just turn the valve on and work the hose. As it is you have to hold the hose in the tank you are looking to empty and pump it at the same time. The hoses are made of a hard plastic. You see the hose lying next to the pump in the company photo. That is how they stay. They do flex but you have to hold them in place if put them in any bend different then how they come packaged. Maybe the other models are different when it comes to possibly having a valve. They will twist and bend if you vacuume something that is hot. I would buy another if it has a valve.

I did my first oil change on my wifes bmw z3 with this thing. Because the car sits so low, it's tough to even get a jack under it (the oil filter removes from the top). I bought this unit to get around that. It was quite easy to use. Just pop a tube down the dipstick tube and give this thing a few pumps here and there. After several minutes it starts slurping, indicating the level is down to the bottom of the pan and it's done. It really was quite easy. I have two minor gripes. 1) i wish the suction tubes were longer. It comes with 3 of different diameters about 3 feet long each. It reaches fine for a little car, but i'm not so sure how well it will reach when i try this on my jeep wrangler. 2) it took longer then i thought it would to suck all the oil out. I didn't time it, but proabably 10 to 15 minutes. No big deal, just an fyi. Overall, a great unit with little room for improvement. I'm glad i bought it!

Just used it for the first time to change my synthetic oil in my bmw. I was skeptical as i've always changed my oil by jacking up the car and doing it the old fashion way; however, i was pleasently suprised as it worked as described! easy tube placement down the dipstick and easy evacuation of my oil. I did have to adjust the placement of tube, that went down the dipstick, a couple of times to make sure it was drawing the oil. It seemed to work best to push the tube to the bottom of the pan and then pull it back out an inch, and when it starts making slurping noises push the tube down a bit farther to get the last of the oil. It worked great and i am chastising myself for not getting this product sooner. Other posts say that synthetic oil has caused leaks in this product, due to seal erosion, but i have not seen any leaks. If i do i'll update this post.

Simple pump system thats works quite effieciently. Comes with 3 different diameter tubes, 2 of which are smaller diameter to fit dipsticks, and one large tube. The evacuator itself is about 3 1/2 feet tall give or take. Definitely of thick, heavy, dense, quality plastic, so breaking or wear on the evacuator is minimal. It is like a bike pump, you pump it up and down. There is a cylinder in the middle that is seperated by plastic from fluid. So there is no fluid cross contamination or worries about fluid getting into the pump, everything is sealed nicely. The handle is a nice sturdy size and the vertical piece connecting to the pump is about a 1/2 inch in diameter and doesnt feel like it is flimsy. I pumped quite violently and hard and it stood up without issue. There is a small u shaped kick stand that keeps the mityvac balanced while pumping. The tubes come with seperate adapters that are each for that tube, mixing tubes and tube adapters will result in poor suction. The adapter goes into the pour spout, which stays snugly with its two ridged seals. . I used it 3 times so far, one for a tdi engine oil change, a lincoln oil change, and a lawn mower oil change. Worked great for all three and got all the oil out. . I definitely reccomend this if you do your own oil changes. Saves time, effort, and will last. Only thing that sucks is the price at $70, but i believe it can last for a very long time without problems. . Biggest thing for me is i dont need to jack my car up to get to the oil pan, but for cars that have filters underneath and need to be jacked, it gets rid of having oil splash all over you and minimize cleaning. . Tips. -for oil, make sure the oil is warm or somewhat hot, but not at full operating temp. You will melt the tubes. Wait until the temperature is about halfway between cold and normal operating temperature. The oil will be warm enough to come out smoothly. -make sure the tube adapter is dry and not wet at all, it helps with the seal. - pour out fluid into a different container each time you do a fluid change, you dont want dirt and grime to sit in the mityvac. -pump at a continuous rate, i find that a full pump every 2 seconds is good enough to keep a good flow going. -clean adapters and hoses after each use, fluid will get stuck and be a pain later on. Just pump the fluid out into the mityvac until the line is clear. If the fluid is too thick. Remove the tube, place it vertically so that the fluid will drip out into a container, it may take some time but it does the trick. -the tube adapter goes into "2nd adapter", you can pull it out with pliers and make pouring easier. . P. S. Oil change for my car took 5 minutes total

Pays for itself quick. I use it to change my new vehicles old that has a top changing oil filter. Just change the filter first so all the oil drops down and then put in and suck the oil out. Some people have complained about problems with the oil (synthetic) ruining the seals. Haven't had a problem. But after using and thoroughly draining also clean it out with some hot soapy water a couple times so the old oil isn't sitting on the seals. Local shop wanted $65/synthetic oil change and this lets me do it for $30. Pays off quick and is easy and painless to use. Highly recommended. Wouldn't use on an older vehicle that might have more crude in the oil pan but the newer vehicles shouldn't have much problems with crude in them.

I bought this pump mainly to use on my lawn equipment and replace automatic transmission fluids in my cars. After using it a few times, i regret not having gotten it years ago. As for changing the oil in lawn equipment, i no longer have to turn them upside down and make a mess in the process. And changing tranny oil is a breeze, since it can now be done without crawling under the car. Several pumps is all it takes to start the process and suck 90% of the tranny fluid and a few more pumps gets the rest. The whole process took less than an hour and not a drop of oil got on the garage floor. The container can be used to transport the used oil to your local disposal site and i took mine to my local wally world. I haven't used it to change motor oil yet and probably won't since i have to crawl under the cars to change the oil filters anyway. For that reason, i'll use it to change automatic tranny fluid when needed and motor oil in my lawn equipment. As a side note, i've already recouped the cost of this pump by one tranny fluid change and i have three more cars waiting in line. I highly recommend this to all the diy selfers who'd like to keep their garage floors clean and don't enjoy crawling under the cars like they used to.

Best tool ever . . . I work for a company that has a lot of equipment, some of the motors are small motors 5 hp. And some are big motors 3 cyl. Diesel . And some 27 hp kolher. So here in texas sep. 4 2017 we had a major flood. We had on 20 pic. Of equipment go under water. We had over 5 ft of water. So to save this equipment i need to take out the motor oil, hydraulic oil and the unleaded gasoline. I did not have the time to take the drain plug out to drain all this oil fast enough. So i used this mityvat 7400 . I was able to drain the motor, hydro oil and gas, all with one tool. I am very happy with this tool . And it portable. And just a fyi i do have the mv 7300 pneumativac . And that fluid extrac. You will need a air compressor. And that to is a great tool in your in a shop with a good air compressor.

V. Lewis, North Tyneside says

Works as advertised. Without this device it is almost impossible the get the oil out of my snow blower. The drain plug is on the end of an extension pipe from the crankcase and the pipe will unscrew from the crankcase before i can get the plug off, spilling oil all over the place. Sucking it out of the fill pipe works just great! i can also use it on my lawnmower without having to go under it to get at the drain plug. Great gadget!

P. Kristen, Brighton and Hove

I bought this because i've never changed my own oil, but thought it would be a much easier place to start than climbing under the car. Funny how it worked out. . I tried the pump first on my 2002 mustang- no dice whatsoever. No matter what i tried, i could not get any of the tubes deep enough to suck out any oil. I ended up changing the oil under the car. Ugh. I did use the pump afterwards to suck up the used oil from my oil pan, and it worked quite well. . I then tried it on my 1966 ford ranchero, and had every drop out within less than 2 minutes. Compared to the under-car method, wow. This thing works like a charm. From oil pan to mityvac to empty oil container and off to recycle. . As i said, i'd never changed my oil either way before- and having now done both, i've got to say if this device fits your car, it's incredibly useful. Four stars, even though it was unusable on my mustang- since it can only work for cars with a correctly shaped dipstick tube, i can't fault it for that.

I. Fabian, Florida says

This pump comes with three different diameter tubes. It works best when the engine is still warm from driving. This implies that any dirt in the oil will still be in suspension and has not had time to sink to the bottom. The skinniest tube is stiff enough and small enough to slide down where the oil is on my 2014 honda crv. Join the skinny tube to the bigger drain tube, and start pumping. It took about three minutes to get all the oil out. This tool also worked perfectly for draining my automatic transmission via the dipstick/ fill tube. I used a graduated cylinder to measure the amount of automatic transmission fluid i was able to extract, then i replaced that exact same amount with new. It makes servicing the automatic transmission so easy, i can do it with every oil change. This tool is also perfect for my snowblower and lawnmower, both of which are nearly impossible to drain if you don't have some kind of pump system.

Z. Elizabeth, Newcastle upon Tyne

This device saved me money. I can change my own brake fluid for the cost of having it done by a mechanic a the dealership. The biggest reward is i can do so much more. So it quickly paid for itself. The only gripe i have is that the tubes that connect could be a bit more flexible.

C. Palmer, Rhode Island says

Best thing ever! no jacking up my car in the drive way. No getting under my car, no mess, no what else? mm energy, time, hassle, or mess! did i say no mess? none of that! lol you just stick the tube down the dip stick hole pump it a few times and come back in a few and pump it again, and in 5-10 min it sucked out almost 5 quarts. No pulling the plug out and getting the oil pan in right spot and getting it all over you or missing it all together. I well really enjoy doing my oil changes on time from now on. Not putting it off a few hundred miles till i'm up to it. Even taking it to auto zone and pouring it out was clean and easy. Just unscrew little cap off the top which then lets u pour it out from the top which has a little pour part to it like a measuring cup has that little edge thing i don't know what it is called lol but it pours out with no mess. Highly recommend trying this out!

H. Suzanne, Lorraine

I am using this on my yamaha fsh 190 boat, jetta tdi car, and my grasshopper lawnmower. So night to not have to jack up the vehicles or remove the air dam. Sucker definitely sucks in a good way! just warm the oil up then proceed to pumping, don't worry if the oil looks a little milky at first. I freaked out and thought i had water get in my boat motor and realized while it sucking it out it can look milky through the container sidewall. Poured out into my disposal pan an the oil looked normal, great product! .

F. Crawford, Bury says

My audi a8 oil filter is top access, so i don't have to crawl under the car to remove the oil filter, the mityvac 7400 is perfect for the job. I don't have to remove the engine guard panel (it's a pain to remove and install). It's very easy to use, the important thing is to make sure the hose is inserted and push all the way to the bottom of the oil pan. Pump at least 2 or 3 times after it stops to restart the suction, it's big enough to hold all the old oil from my a8l. The best is to see it in action on my youtube video when i change my audi a8l oil. I also did the oil change on my a6 in less than 15 minutes. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? v brrlvtqamiq

I. Cageen, Vermont

I was able to change the oil on both mowers rider and push, large snow blower, small snow blower & pressure washer in about 1 hr 45 minutes - 2 hours in a freezing cold garage. (i ordered it when it was already cold! ) had it been warmer my fingers not freezing and the hoses more flexible aiding in sucking out the oil, i have no doubt i would have finished in somewhere near half the time. And yes, i did warm the devices, but it was glacial so it interfered with the results. I can't wait to use this during the summer to aide in my oil changes. Instead of changing the filter every 2500-3000 miles, i can do it every 5000-6000 miles with an easy oil swap at mid-point. I'm getting my brother one as well. Worth every penny.
